Dr. Peter M. Frederik
Peter Frederik devoted a large part of his scientific life to the development of cryo-electron microscopy. His success in doing this is reflected in a large number of publications, patents and even products. In the last years of his career one of his big dreams came through: the establishment of the Soft Matter cryoTEM Research Unit, a consortium between Eindhoven University of Technology, Universiteit Maastricht and FEI Company.
On October 30 2009 Peter will reach the age of 65 and will officially retire from the Unit. In honour of his contribution to science and to the development of electron microscopy at Eindhoven University of Technology in particular, we will organize a symposium celebrating his career achievements.
We hope to meet you there,
